What is the reason why the wiper does not work ?
∑ When the wiper does not move or does not work, it can be handled from the following aspects :
◆ Open the lead cover to see if the drive link is dislocated (the most common cause) .
◇ Check that the fuse is intact.
■ Disconnect the motor cable plug and turn on the power. Use a multimeter to measure voltage .
□ If the fuse is intact and the motor has no voltage, check that the line and direction light combination switch is intact .
▲ Generally, the motor burns out and there is a burnt smell .
△ If the power is turned on and the normal voltage is measured at the wiper motor, it is considered that the motor is broken.
▲
Pay attention to the correct way to connect the pole to the wiper arm. Because some of the arms are screwed to the rocker arm, and some are locked with a male snap.
▲
Pull the wiper up and use your fingers to check for damage on the cleaned rubber wiper and the elasticity of the rubber blades. If the blade ages, hardens or cracks, the wiper is broken.
▲
During the test, place the wiper switch at various speed positions and check that the wiper maintains a certain speed at different speeds. Especially in the intermittent working state, it is also necessary to pay attention to whether the wiper maintains a certain speed during the movement.
▲
Check the wiper status and whether the wiper rod has uneven oscillation or slip.
If the following three conditions occur, the wiper is not qualified:
1. The swing is not smooth and the wiper does not jump normally;
2. The rubber contact surface and the glass surface cannot be completely adhered to each other, resulting in wiping residue;
3. After wiping, the glass surface is in a state of water film, and fine streaks, fog and linear residue are generated on the glass.

During the test, pay attention to the abnormal noise of the motor. In particular, it should be noted that when the wiper motor creaks and does not rotate. This indicates that the mechanical transmission part of the wiper has rust or stuck. In this case, the wiper switch should be turned off immediately to prevent the motor from being burnt.

Some people think that the longer the wiper blade, the larger the brush area and the better the field of view. In fact, the wiper blade is not as long as possible. Increasing the length of the wiper blade can increase the visibility of the field of view, but it also increases the burden on the wiper motor and the wiper lever. Of course, it’s ok to lengthen it, but make sure that it doesn’t interfere with the normal operation of the wiper.
